Wexler to Tour Homes Containing Chinese Drywall
Drywall Reported to Cause Significant Health and Safety Risks
(Washington, DC) Tomorrow, Tuesday, April 7th, Congressman Wexler will tour South Florida homes built with the Chinese drywall widely reported to cause severe health and safety risks. Last week, after receiving numerous compaints from constituents regarding chronic respiratory conditions, corrosion of electrical wiring, and damage to home goods and appliances, Congressman Wexler alerted Governor Charlie Crist to the severity of the problem. On Friday, Congressman Wexler spoke to Governor Crist, who expressed his shared concern for the families facing this terrible situation. Governor Crist explained that he is seeking help from the Environmental Protection Agency to conduct testing of the air quality in homes containing the Chinese drywall.
