Wexler Demands FBI Come Clean on CIA Torture
Questions FBI Director in House Judiciary Hearing

(Washington, DC) Today during a House Judiciary Committee hearing, Congressman Robert Wexler (D-FL) questioned Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) director Robert Mueller on the CIA’s participation in illegal use of torture.  During his questioning of Mueller, Congressman Wexler sought to find out why the FBI did not launch an investigation into alleged illegal torture practices used by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) when the FBI deemed the practices too questionable for FBI agents to participate in the actions.  In his testimony to Congressman Wexler, Mueller tacitly admitted to having knowledge that improper interrogation tactics were in use by the CIA.

The full exchange is available on Congressman Wexler's video page.
