Important information for tax-payers and senior citizens on your eligibility for tax rebates, how to obtain one, and who to contact for assistance.

Congressman Robert Wexler is proud to announce that Congress has recently passed an economic stimulus package to help middle class Americans get by in today’s struggling economy. The stimulus package puts extra money directly into the hands of Americans by providing them with tax rebates.  In Congress, Wexler stood up for senior citizens so that retirees and Americans living on Social Security could also be eligible for tax rebates.

Check out the stimulus check calculator provided by the IRS to find out how much your rebate may be.

Are you unsure whether or not you qualify for a tax rebate?

This webpage will help you determine if you are eligible to receive a rebate, help you estimate how much money you may be eligible for, and explain how to obtain one.  Tax-paying Americans, as well as seniors who earn at least $3,000 through Social Security and other forms of government benefits, may be eligible for a tax rebate.

Under the economic stimulus ackage, individuals who file 1040 income tax form and earn between $3,000 and $75,000 a year will be eligible for $300-$600. Married couples may eligible for up to $1200 and additional money for each child. Seniors and disabled individuals who do not owe taxes can qualify for rebates if their adjusted gross income is at least $3,000.  This income can be accrued from the following government benefits:

  • Social Security
  • Social Security Disability
  • Social Security Survivor's Benefit
  • Railroad Retirement
  • VA Service Connected Disability
  • VA Pension
  • VA Dependency and Indeminity
