Visiting DC: Tour Information and Requests

Congressman Wexler is pleased to assist constituents visiting Washington, DC with tours of the U.S. Capitol, the Supreme Court, and more.  A minimum of 30 days advance notice is required in order for Congressman Wexler's staff to process your tour request. Please keep in mind that these are extremely popular tours and space is very limited.   Many of these sites take reservations up to 6 months in advance and there is no guarantee that your request will be approved. Additionally, increased security measures have been set in place for many area attractions. Parking is limited in Washington, DC and it is strongly advised that you take advantage of public transportation in the city.

Congressman Wexler will gladly provide constituents with House Gallery passes.  These passes will allow you to visit the House Chamber and view Congress in session. Please note that in the House of Representatives, children under 10 are allowed in the gallery only if accompanied by an adult.

Congressman Wexler's office can assist you with the following attractions:

(M-F; 9:30 AM and 4:30 PM - Free performance after 4:30 tour)

**THIS IS A SELF GUIDED TOUR. The White House grants these tours on a first come, first served basis.  Due to increased security measures, requests must be made up to six months in advance and no later than 30 days prior to the requested tour date.  Additionally, if approved, dates of birth, social security numbers, and citizenship status is required for everyone age 14 and over, wishing to take the tour of the White House.  This information must be submitted to the White House 7 days prior to the assigned tour date. There is no guarantee your request will be approved even if submitted in a timely manner.  White House policy requires that tours must have 10 or more people regardless of age or what type of group.  We will work with other offices to form groups of 10 if your party doesn’t meet the required number.  The White House will notify congressional offices whether or not a tour has been approved approximately 1 month prior to the requested date. 

Application Instructions

Congressman Wexler's office receives a very high volume of requests for tours in Washington, DC. After you submit your tour request, please wait two weeks to be contacted by Congressman Wexler's staff. If you do not hear from the Congressman's office within two weeks, please call 202-225-3001.
